The aim of the club is to open up areas of natural countryside for responsible campers who appreciate the enormous benefits of real camping in tents with fires and loads of space.
The Club will be open to anyone who loves open country camping and would like to see more of it.
The Club will in association with Camping Unplugged who will manage and operate its campsites. This means that the sites Camping Unplugged currently operates will become True Camping Club affiliated sites.
To accomplish our mission we need a large and active membership who share our principles and want to experience the pleasure of real camping in different locations around England. Loads of space, camp fires and beautiful locations, where our members can get back to nature with their friends and family.
No one has to join the club and will still be able to visit existing Camping Unplugged sites. The purpose of the club is simply to enable us to open more sites, but will confer some benefits on the club's members. In the future it may be that we have planning conditions on new sites, so it may be that these will be restricted to True Camping Club members.
The Open country camping that we and our members like is surprisingly under threat, as traditional sites are transformed into Glamping Mecca's. By joining the club you can help us create more of the sits that you want to visit.
